Sports Massage is a mixture of deep tissue release, fascia release and mobilization. The massage that Ann does has its roots in Sports Massage, but with this she uses her knowledge and understanding of the individual to tailor each massage. “listening” to how the body responds to the massage will mean that each massage is individual, dependant on what the body needs and responds to on that day. ,So this might include more fascial work to help to release the fascial lines, deep tissue work to release “knots” that occur in the muscles oror where necessary using other tools such as Kineso Tape ( the brightly coloured tape seen on many atheletes & footballers) or her IAMs tool ( Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation tool!)
The ultimate aim of a sports massage is to make the body looser, less stressed, more mobile and to reduce aches and pains, whether caused by sport, injury, or the many stresses and strains of modern everyday life.
