Golf Fitness

I have been a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist for over 10 years. Over the past 5 years I have become a qualified Yoga Teacher and a Nutritionalist. Living and working in the Algarve enables me to be in the envienable position of being able to play golf all year round. Golf is what brought me to the Algarve, and I have always had a keen interest in the physical side of the golf game and how it affects your golf.

I recently spent 2 days at the National PGA Centre at The Belfry, doing my TPI Level 1 Certification (Titleist Performance Institute).

Being TPI certified has helped to cement the understanding of the relationship between the Body and the Swing, so using the screening tools, I am able to help clients build up a training programme to enable them to play better golf, with more movement and less injury / pain.
I find a lot of the tools in Yoga also have a big cross over to golf both from a physical flexibility and stability point of view, but perhaps more importantly from a mental view point, helping to maintain calmness on the course and use breathing technqiues to maintain the calmness.
Nutrition is also a key player, ensuring you are fuelled correctly for both your training and whilst on the course.
